Beskyttelsestyper - IP-klassifikation i henhold til ČSN EN 60 529

Beskyttelsesniveauer mod kontakt med farlige dele er angivet ved hjælp af den supplerende kode i form af et brev.

Brevet tilføjet efter det andet ciffer i IP-betegnelsen indikerer beskyttelsesniveauet for personer mod kontakt med farlige dele, f.eks. IP 10B.

Disse bogstaver anvendes kun i følgende tilfælde:

* Hvis den egentlige beskyttelse mod kontakt med farlige dele er højere end den, der er angivet med det første karakteristiske ciffer
* Hvis der kun er angivet beskyttelse mod kontakt med farlige dele, erstattes det første karakteristiske ciffer med en X

A - Beskyttet mod kontakt med håndens bagside
B - Beskyttet mod kontakt med fingrene
C - Beskyttet mod kontakt med værktøjer
D - Beskyttet mod kontakt med ledninger
